Very early at 04:00 am we will pick you up from your hotel and then drive 4 hours in our minivan to Capuliyoc (2,800 m.a.s.l. or 9,184 feet). On the way, there are spectacular views of villages, valleys, and snowy mountains. Once we arrive, we will meet our staff (muleteers with their horses) who packed all our equipment in the horses. From here, we can enjoy the spectacular view of the Inca city of Choquequirao, the Apurímac canyon and the impressive snowy mountains such as Padreyoc, Qoriwayrachina, Pumasillo, then we will walk downhill for 3 hours to Chiquisca (1,800 m.a.s.l. or 5,904 feet), for lunch. After lunch, we continue for 2 more hours downhill to our first camp at La Playa Rosalina’s

After breakfast we will continue our way to Choquequirao, we will cross the bridge and walk for 2 hours to get Santa Rosa Village to take a rest, then we will continue along a narrow road the next 3 hours until we reach Marampata (2,900 m.a.s.l or 9,512 feets) where we will have lunch while we enjoyed the view that this beautiful place offers once again. After lunch, we will walk for 2 more hours to the camping area of our second night, just 20 minutes from the archaeological zone.

During the morning our guide will take you through the agricultural terraces and the waterfall will tour each of the archaeological sectors explaining the history and importance of the site, then we will return to the camp to eat a delicious lunch prepared by our chef. After lunch, we will visit the terraces of the restored llamas about 300 meters (1000 feet) below the main structures such as; the house of the Inca, main temple, temple of water, in the afternoon we will begin the walk back visiting the house of the priest and the platform of the sacrifices and the rituals, hoping to be able to observe again the condors on their return to their homes.

After breakfast, we will start our way back that will be much easier and quieter first to reach Marampata and then begin the descent to Santa Rosa and then reach the banks of the Apurimac River (1500 m.a.s.l. or 4,875 feets), in this place our lunch will wait for us. After lunch we will continue the walk for two hours until we reach Chiquisca (1,800 m.a.s.l. or 5,904 feet); In this place, we will set up our last camp for the night.

We will begin our day early with the ascent to the Capuliyoc pass (2,800 m.a.s.l.), from where we can appreciate the great Apurimac Canyon again and say goodbye to Choquequirao. After a well-deserved rest and a light lunch, we will say goodbye to the muleteers and begin our return trip by minivan to Cusco.
