When you arrival in the City of Cusco our staff Peruvian Paths and Adventures will be waiting for you at the airport and then take you to your chosen hotel. At the hotel, you will be greeted with the typical coca tea for acclimatization. Our staff will help you check in and give you all the information and recommendations such as: Banks, Restaurants, Exchange Houses and others. Finally have a free afternoon to rest and acclimatize.
Optional: Presentation of typical Andean music and dances at the Qosqo Native Art Centre (6:30pm to 8.00pm) The entrance ticket is included in the package.

Inti Raymi ( Festival of the Sun) in Cusco
Breakfast at the Hotel
08:00a.m. our staff will collect you from your hotel and will move to the first spot of the day, we will meet with the group and with our professional guide. The Inti Raymi ceremony takes place in three different places.
1.- Qorikancha or Temple of the Sun, beginning of the Inti Raymi route with the ceremony called «Salute to the Sun». This first part begins with the sound of the pututos and the entry of the acllas, musicians and dancers, to later receive the Inca, this place begins the first rituals. Duration approx. of 1 hour.
2.-Plaza Mayor of Cusco or Huaqaypata (Main Square of Cusco). , is the second point of celebration of Inti Raymi. Here the «Meeting of the Times and Coca Leaf Ceremony» ceremony takes place, where the Inca and his entourage meet on the great ushnu or ceremonial stage.
This second part begins with the entry of the musicians, beginning the entire presentation, so that the Inca then heads towards the main altar installed in the center of the plaza, beginning with a greeting to the sun god, then he makes himself present. . the provincial mayor of Cusco, having a meeting with the Inca, giving him this quipu as a symbol of organization, work and commitment, finally the Inca and the Qoya surround the main square to later go to the last stage of this ceremony, Sacsayhaman.
3.- Explanada de Sacsayhuamán, is the third epicenter of the Inti Raymi and the central ceremony, since this is where most of the staging of the Inti Raymi is concentrated, starting with the entrance of the Qoya and the Inca accompanied by dances, music and chants, and then begin the central ceremony with the appearance of the leaders of the 4 of theirs announcing the state in which their regions are located, so that finally the Inca begins the rite of offering, sacrificing a llama in honor to the sun god. Duration approx. of 2 hours
*Let us remember that this ceremony is carried out in Quechua, the original and ancestral language of the Incas.

Cusco - Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu

Pick up from your hotel at 08:00 a.m. We make our first stop at The Andean Animal Refuge where we will find llamas, alpacas, condors, and pumas. Continuing our tour we visit the most important archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley. Here we will have a guided tour exploring the sites for around one hour. This place is best known for having the largest Inca cemetery in the area, and also has religious temples, agricultural terraces, and irrigation systems. Then we go to the colonial town of Pisac where we visit a silverware workshop and learn the process of making silver. Also, we will walk through the traditional markets where you can find a lot of handmade crafts, here we will have time to buy souvenirs. We then go to the town of Urubamba where we stop at a restaurant to have a buffet lunch. To complete our day’s tour, we visit the Archaeological Centre of Ollantaytambo which is another important site in the Sacred Valley having temples and gardens. Also, in this place one of the greatest battles of Spaniards with Incas was celebrated. Finally we go to the train station of Ollantaytambo to take the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, upon our arrival you can expect to stay at a cozy hotel with all the comforts. Upon our arrival, a cozy hotel with all the comforts awaits us. After the tour we will go to the train station. Where we will take the train from Ollantaytambo through the picturesque Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes Town, depending on the departure time of the train to be always 30 minutes before the departure of train.
Upon our arrival at the train station our Staff will be waiting for us to take us to our Hotel.

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel. You will meet your guide and take the 25-minute bus ride up to Machu Picchu. You will have a 2 hours and 30 minuts aprox. the tour with your guide. where we will visit the incredible architecture and the mysterious temples left by the Incas.
A professional English-speaking guide will help us understand the sophisticated ideas and technology of this highly advanced culture. The suggested time to descend from Machu Picchu to the town of Aguas Calientes is 13:00 p.m depending on the departure time of the train to be always 30 minutes before the departure of train.

Trekking to Humantay Lake – Cusco

Our pick up will start from 04:00 to 05:00 in the morning, and after a 3-hour trip, while enjoying the views of the exuberant valley of the Apurímac River, we will arrive for breakfast in the town of Mollepata after a brief stop. After breakfast we will continue our trip for an hour and a half by car, the road we will take is dirt (trail) until we reach the community of Soraypampa which is located at an altitude of 3900 masl. Or 12792 feet. During the trip we will observe beautiful landscapes and the impressive snow-capped «Salkantay». From Soraypampa we will undertake a 2 km (1.3 miles) hike. The path is ascending and will take us about an hour and a half to two, while we hike we will see a panorama of snow-capped mountains, impressive natural landscapes and a great diversity of flora and fauna until reaching the «Laguna de Humantay» which is located at an altitude of 4200 meters above sea level. Or 13776 feet.
The «Laguna Humantay» is turquoise in color due to the mineral found at the bottom, the lagoon is fed by the glaciers of the mountain and is considered a jewel of nature and Sacred Lagoon, in addition to delighting in the Humantay lagoon we can enjoy of the impressive views of the mountains that surround it. We will walk down until we reach the community of Soraypampa where we can enjoy a buffet lunch. After lunch we will start the return trip to the city of Cusco. Our tour ends at approximately 5:30 in the afternoon.

Tour to Maras Moray & Salt Mine And Chinchero

Pick up from your hotel at 8am and we will begin our tour to the northeast of the city of Cusco.
During our tour we will observe impressive landscapes such as: the snow peaked mountains of Salkantay and Veronica and the plains of Maras – where much of the food for our Cusco population comes from. First we will visit the Archaeological Centre of Chinchero and textil center, Archaeological Centre of Moray, this place is more known as a centre of experimentation and investigation of agricultural products in the Inca empire. They are circular terraces that measure 150 meters deep. Continuing with our tour we will visit the town of Maras, where you can appreciate the magnificent colonial architecture in the local constructions. Finally, we visit the salt mines (Salineras) where there are more than 3200 wells of Salt. The local people still continue to extract the same salt that the Incas extracted for human consumption.
At the end of the tour our transport will return to our hotel in Cusco.

Trekking to Rainbow Mountain – Cusco

The adventure begins very early at 04:30a.m, and then we go by car for an average of 3 hours south of Cusco. Then we will go to the picturesque town of Pitumarca, south of the city of Cusco. Here we enjoy a delicious Andean breakfast in local Restaurant and we will buy some of the necessary items for our walk, such as water, snacks, etc. Afterwards, we will continue on the road until we reach a dirt road that crosses the mountains and passes through traditional villages and fertile valleys. After this short stop we continue our trip where we observe the multicolored landscapes and the crops that are mixed between the mysterious and snow-capped mountains. See Andean animals such as the llama, alpaca, sheep, vicuñas and also the deep valleys. If it is a clear day, we will be able to see the snowy Ausangate, which is the highest in the province of Cusco at 6,384 masl or 20,945 feet. We arrive at the picturesque town of Chillca which is our starting point for the trek. We will start trekking from 4,350 masl (14,271 ft) and it will take around 1.5 hours to reach the top. This walk is short and gradual, but due to the height we will go slowly and enjoy the view of valleys and mountains, and also herds of llamas and alpacas. We will finish the climb when we reach the top of Cerro Colorado, which is 4,980 meters above sea level (16,338 feet). This incredible mountain has beautiful colors including red, orange, yellow, green and purple which are various minerals. You have the option to climb another 50 meters (164 feet) up to take photos with a panoramic view, and when we are ready we will return the same way. We will go down for an average of 1 hour and we will arrive at the vehicle to return to Cusco. On the way we will have Buffet lunch at the local restaurant, and continue to Cusco where we will drop you off at your hotel around 4:30 p.m.
