Itinerary: Tour Maras Moray & Chinchero
Pick up from your hotel at 8am and we will begin our tour to the northeast of the city of Cusco.
During our tour we will observe impressive landscapes such as: the snow peaked mountains of Salkantay and Veronica and the plains of Maras – where much of the food for our Cusco population comes from. First we will visit the Archaeological Centre of Chinchero and textil center, Archaeological Centre of Moray, this place is more known as a centre of experimentation and investigation of agricultural products in the Inca empire. They are circular terraces that measure 150 meters deep. Continuing with our tour we will visit the town of Maras, where you can appreciate the magnificent colonial architecture in the local constructions. Finally, we visit the salt mines (Salineras) where there are more than 3200 wells of Salt. The local people still continue to extract the same salt that the Incas extracted for human consumption.
