City Tour Cusco – Half Day

The Cusco City Tour Half Day is a guided tour of approximately 5 hours, available in the morning or afternoon. Explore Cusco’s historic center and nearby archaeological sites while discovering its fascinating Inca and colonial heritage. The tour visits Qorikancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay, with the option to visit Cusco Cathedral and admire its colonial paintings.

Itinerary

City Tour Cusco - Half Day

Your Cusco City Tour Half Day begins with hotel pick-up at your selected time: 8:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. From there, we will travel through the main streets of Cusco to begin exploring the city’s remarkable Inca heritage.

Our first stop will be Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), the most important temple of the Inca Empire. Here, you can admire the remarkable stonework of the Incas, which remains visible within the current structure despite the transformations that took place during the colonial period.

Qorikancha is also the starting point of the Inti Raymi celebration, where the Sapa Inca pays homage to the Sun God. This is the first of three major reenactments, followed by the Plaza de Armas and culminating at Sacsayhuamán.

After visiting Qorikancha, we will leave the city by tourist transportation and continue to Sacsayhuamán, an impressive archaeological site overlooking Cusco. Its strategic location offers beautiful panoramic views of the city. Sacsayhuamán is also the third and final setting of the Inti Raymi celebration during the winter solstice.

We will then continue to the nearby archaeological sites of Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay before returning to Cusco at approximately 1:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m., depending on your selected departure time.
